A waterstop is a concrete structure element designed to prevent fluid passage (such as water) when installed continuously through the joints. There are many types of waterstops, but the most famous ones are:
Plastic Waterstop – PVC, polyethylene (PE) or thermoplastic
Polymer Hydrophobic Waterstop – PVC, PE, TPV
Metal Waterstops – 1.0 to 1.5 mm thick and 250 to 300 mm wide
Hydrophilic Waterstop – modified rubber strips with a hydrophilic agent (such as concrete)
